TEAM EDWARD OR TEAM JACOB???

twilight-eclipse

Twilight began as a young-adult romance novel but became an instant best seller in 2005 and to go on releasing also the best selling movie in 2008! It is the first book in the Twilight series that introduces 17 years old, Belle. Belle quickly finds her life in danger when she falls in love with a vampire named, Edward Cullen. The novel is followed by New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.

I am one of the few millions of people who fell in love with the romantic, love story between Belle, Edward, and Jacob. I was definitely torn between TEAM EDWARD and TEAM JACOB but after watching “Eclipse,” I finally concluded for TEAM EDWARD!

The reason for my dramatic decision is because in “Eclipse” I definitely like how Edward handled the situation between Belle and Jacob. TEAM EDWARD is solid because I like his character and the way he handles a situation by evaluating the positives and negatives. He is very humble and he makes decisions for the better of others and not himself. It is very difficult at times to put your own feelings second, therefore putting someone else’s first. Edward did an amazing job displaying it in the movies but especially in “Eclipse!” and Edward’s family certainly reminds me of mine but in a human sense! lol

What TEAM are you on???

eminem feat rihanna-love the way you lie!

Eminen is one of my favorite artists; due to the fact I think he is REAL! And what I mean by that is the way he expresses his truest emotions that took place in his life in his music and not so much about money, cars, girls, etc.

I love the fact that he is not scared to show all his sincere, negative moments in life in the course of his songs and calls people out when a majority of people are reluctant too! People in this world seem to always put a front on how they are doing in life and afraid to state what is really going on but that never seem to phase Eminen and that is why is he one of my favorites because I can definitely relate to pain.

I hope you guys enjoy this song that he recently put out with Rihanna because it’s one of my top 10’s! Sorry this is not the official video!

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM)

Posted: May 17th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 176 Comments »

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM) is celebrated in May to commemorate the contributions of people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent in the United States. Congress passed a joint Congressional Resolution in 1978 to commemorate Asian American Heritage Week during the first week of May. This date was chosen because two important anniversaries occurred during this time: the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants in America on May 7, 1843 and the completion of the transcontinental railroad (by many Chinese laborers) on May 10, 1869. In 1990 Congress voted to expand it from a week to a month long celebration and in May 1992, the month of May was permanently designated as “Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month.”

Take the time to this month to reflect on the past and to collaborate on the progress Asian Pacific Americans have made today but to also celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of our cultures as well! I will be celebrating by eating and drinking traditional, authentic Asian foods and attending events catered to this month.

Be a part of history and make history happen =]
